JOB OVERVIEW:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a generally pleasant, esthetically pleasing and safe environment. He or she shall additionally be required to perform routine light repair as required for the upkeep of the facility, while performing other miscellaneous and non-related tasks such as running minor errands relative to the facility’s operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Clean all bathrooms located within the assigned Center. This shall include, but not be limited to regularly cleaning walls, floors, sinks, mirrors, vanity counters, urinals and toilet bowls. Additionally, he or she will be responsible for maintaining the proper sanitary needs such as toilet paper, soaps, etc. within the bathroom and other necessary areas;

2. Maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility by ensuring the proper containment and/or disposal of garbage, other waste and/or spills;

3. May serve as a receiving agent for all packages being delivered to the Center. Furthermore, the Maintenance Worker may be requested by the Center Administrator, or other person(s) in authority, to deliver packages, material, equipment and similar items throughout the Center;

4. Under the direction of the Center Administrator or OSHA Coordinator, he or she will be responsible for or participate in the containment and/or disposal of medical waste, biohazardous or infectious waste material from the Center; and

5. Maintain the overall cleanliness and safety of the exterior of the Center by regularly sweeping, shoveling, snow removal and placement of safety equipment such as mats and signs needed to ensure safe operations.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Good communication and organization skills.

2. Ability to utilize effectively prioritize and follow through on all tasks in an independent manner with minimal supervision.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of six (6) months prior maintenance or service, including but not limited to light repair and use of various tools.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalency.
