Medical Assistants

The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting and registering all patients arriving for appointments, other services or care. In addition, the Medical Assistant is responsible for, or participates in, all front-office aspects of their assigned physician(s) or area(s). This includes, but is not be limited to answering telephones, medical records, filing, photocopying and other miscellaneous clerical work. Additionally, he or she might perform screenings such as height and weight measurements, vital signs and other similar clinical functions, including assisting physicians.

Requirements

Minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalency. Successful completion of a medical assistant training program with a certificate, or two (2) years recent experience in the capacity of a medical assistant. The successful candidate will posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organized with demonstrated ability to prioritize work.
