Radiology Technicians

The Radiology Technician is responsible for administering and developing all radiographic images. This may include, but not be limited to x-ray, mammography and sonography, depending on the area of specialty hired or assigned to work within. He or she shall further be responsible for assuring the images taken are clinically and anatomically correct and useful in order to make appropriate clinical diagnoses by assessing the feasibility and quality of these images. Moreover, the Radiology Technician will communicate the impression to physician

Requirements

Ability to effectively ensure the usefulness of images taken relative to diagnostic needs. In addition, he or she must have a minimum of one (1) year technical experience and posses a certificate in X-Ray Technology from an accredited school and training in the desired specialty area. Additionally, the successful candidate would have completed a hospital internship and requirement for continuing education credits while possessing a valid New York State license.
